Safeguarding Policy
Our Commitment to Safety
At Warden Hill Wolves Cubs, the safety and well-being of every child are our top priorities. We are dedicated to providing a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where all young people can thrive, regardless of their background or abilities.
What We Do to Keep Children Safe
-
Comprehensive Training: All our leaders and volunteers undergo mandatory safeguarding training, ensuring they are equipped to protect and support every child.
-
Enhanced Recruitment: Every adult volunteer completes a thorough recruitment process, including criminal records checks, to ensure they are suitable to work with children.
-
Clear Conduct Guidelines: We adhere to The Scout Association's Safeguarding Code of Conduct for Adults (Yellow Card), which sets out the expected behaviours and responsibilities of all adults involved in Scouting.
-
Risk Assessments: We conduct regular risk assessments for all activities to identify and mitigate potential hazards, ensuring a safe experience for all participants.
